However, if they last more than one or two days, or cause significant discomfort to your pet it is important to contact your veterinarian.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Local discomfort and swelling in the area of the vaccine.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Slight fever<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Decrease in appetite and activity<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Sneezing, mild cough, runny nose or other respiratory symptoms occurring 2-5 days after your pet receives an intranasal vaccine.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Please visit a veterinarian or emergency clinic if you develop the following symptoms:<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Vomiting and persistent diarrhea<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Itchy skin with raised areas (urticaria)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Swelling in the muzzle and around the head, neck or eyes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Severe cough or shortness of breath<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Collapse<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">*Less common, but more serious side effects, such as allergic reactions can occur within minutes to hours after vaccination. These reactions can be dangerous and are medical emergencies that should be treated immediately.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">A small, firm, swollen area may develop under the skin in the area where the vaccine was given. It should begin to disappear within a few weeks. If it persists for more than 3 weeks, or appears to be growing, you should contact your veterinarian.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Always inform your veterinarian if your pet has had previous allergic reactions to any vaccine or medication.
